Jazz Band & Jazz Too

The HMS Jazz Program consists of two jazz bands and is open to students in grades 6 – 8.

Jazz Band is an extension of the curricular bands open to 7th and 8th grade students. Members of our co-curricular ensembles must be enrolled in one of the bands at HMS (exceptions for Jazz are guitar, bass guitar and piano – non band instruments). This ensemble rehearses every Thursday morning from 7:15 – 7:55 am.

Jazz Too is an extension of the curricular bands open to 6th grade students. Members of our co-curricular ensembles must be enrolled in one of the bands at HMS (exceptions for Jazz are guitar, bass guitar and piano – non band instruments). This ensemble rehearses every Tuesday morning from 7:15 – 7:55 am.

The Jazz Band performs with the HHS Jazz Bands once a year and both jazz ensembles perform at the annual Jazz Night in April.
